Subsidiary of Dar Al Dawa in Romania “SC. Dar Al DawaPharma SRL” was founded in 1995. The main activity of the company is " import, distribution and marketing of pharmaceutical products". The company headquarters is located in Claudiustreet, sector 2, Bucharest – Romania.
SC. Dar Al DawaPharma SRL concluded import, distribution and warehousing agreement with ADM Farm Pantelimon/ Ilfov in Sept. 2009, this will provide more reach to customers and pharmacies.
SC. Dar Al DawaPharma SRL is currently in the process of registering several new products in addition to MA renewal for existing products, CTD registration files have been prepared for these products allowing registration in Europe, some products are expected to receive registration in Q1/2012. DAD products are well received by people in Romania, sales are expected to develop nicely following registration approvals.
The partner; Chanelle Pharmaceuticals are in the process of registering different products in Europe and Asia that are manufactured in DAD.
South Africa will be the 14th market to receive Risperidone liquid manufactured in Dar Al Dawa in cooperation with Chanelle / Ireland, Aspen will be the customer for distributing the product in RSA.
Chanelle are in discussion with DAD to manufacture new products for Europe, two projects are in the scope.
Alternova (DAD partner in Sweden) terminated their distribution cooperation with Abcur for Omeprazole in Sweden with effect from December 31, 2010. Cooperation with Abcur was established several years ago when Alternova had no activities in Sweden; since then they have launched a number of products and established their own sales infrastructure in the country. As of January 2011, DAD Omeprazole will be selling in the name of “Omeprazole Alternova”, new packaging materials and batch size have been approved by Swedish health authorities and consignments delivered. Product direct distribution by Alternova is expected to boost sales in Sweden.
New projects are candidated for developments with Alternova for the Nordic region.
Dar Al Dawa concluded agreement with Delta Azerbaijan in May 2009 for the import, distribution and marketing of DAD products in Azerbaijan. Five products received registration in Azerbaijan during first half 2011, a second wave of registrations are foreseen in the second half of the year
In October 2010, Dar Al Dawa accomplished agreement with Pharma International - Russia (PIR) for the bulk manufacturing of certain DAD products, first product is currently in registration process.
Dar Al Dawa participated recently in Caucasus Healthcare/11, Tbilisi-Georgia June 23-26, 2011. Elegant export house in cooperation with JEDCO arranged for participation of several Jordanian companies and hospitals in Tbilisi Beauty and Healthcare. Different meetings were organized for participants with Georgian minister of health, ministry officials, drugstores, distributers and association of pharmaceutical companies representatives in Georgia.
