Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Dr. Khalid Harb, CEO of Dar Aldawa, and Dr. Hanan Al-Soboul, Secretary General of the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, met with the Chairman and members of the Health and Food Committee in the House of Representatives at the Parliament headquarters on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The meeting focused on discussing the current state of the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector in Jordan and the key challenges it faces both locally and internationally.

Harb emphasized the vital role the pharmaceutical sector plays in supporting the national economy and enhancing drug security, highlighting the need to overcome the obstacles hindering its growth and expansion. He also stressed the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors to develop the pharmaceutical industry, ensure continued innovation, and meet both local and global market demands.

The meeting addressed several key topics, including internal and external challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry, mechanisms to facilitate drug registration and export to foreign markets, and ways to enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian pharmaceutical products at the regional and international levels.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to maintain ongoing dialogue among stakeholders to ensure a supportive environment for the advancement of the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, contributing to strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional hub for pharmaceutical industries.
